Remote damp monitoring

Spot damp and mould risk before it becomes a problem.

Wireless sensors in each home, a secure 4G gateway and a clear online portal for housing teams. You see developing risk early, and you have the evidence when you act.

  • No tenant Wi-Fi needed
  • Instant alerts
  • Time-stamped evidence
  • 24/7 monitoring
How it works

From the wall to your inbox, without touching the tenant's internet.

STEP 1

Sensor in the home

A small battery sensor measures room temperature and humidity, and can measure wall temperature with an optional probe. Batteries last for years.

STEP 2

Long-range radio

Readings travel by LoRaWAN, a low-power radio built for buildings. One gateway can usually cover a whole block.

STEP 3

Secure 4G gateway

The gateway in a communal area sends data securely over the mobile network. It doesn't rely on the landlord's or tenant's Wi-Fi.

STEP 4

Portal and alerts

Your team sees every home's risk at a glance and gets an alert as soon as conditions start to go wrong.

A sensor on a living room wall sends readings by radio to a gateway, which sends them over 4G to the cloud
What housing teams get

Clear risk, early warnings and the records to prove you acted.

Every home at a glance

Each building shows every flat colour-coded by mould risk, so you know where to look first.

LowMediumHigh

Condensation risk, not just humidity

We work out the dew point and, with a wall probe, how damp the wall surface is, over time. A shower won't set it off; days of damp conditions will.

Instant alerts

High risk, a sensor going offline or a low battery: the right people are told by email or Telegram straight away.

Evidence reports

Every alert and every action your team logs is time-stamped, and can be downloaded as a report for each home.

Battery and sensor health

See each sensor's battery and last reading, so replacements are planned visits, not surprises.

Your data, kept separate

Each organisation only ever sees its own homes. Logins use two-step verification as standard.

Act early, with evidence

Support for your Awaab's Law response.

Social landlords now have set timescales for dealing with damp and mould. Damp Alert helps you find developing problems sooner and shows what you did about them, and when.

  • Risk raised automatically, with the date and time
  • Actions logged by your team against each home
  • Downloadable reports of alerts, actions and readings

Damp Alert monitors conditions and highlights developing damp and mould risk. It does not detect mould directly, and it supports rather than replaces inspections.
